We are very much looking forward to this summer's Fèis week!
Along with the usual fantastic line-up, this year we have some exciting options for teenagers including the popular media class which will be taught this year by John Joe MacNeil. We will also have a Teenage Band-work class where young people will learn the skills involved in playing in a group.
We expect a large number of pupils to attend Fèis Bheag and Fèis Mheadhan (ages 4 to 7). As well as Gaelic creative play, we try to include as much musical tuition as possible for younger pupils. We aim to provide tuition in Fiddle, Clarsach and keyboard, as well as take part in Art and Drums.
We are also very pleased to re-introduce Shinty to our range of classes this year. The class size has been reduced, and all pupils will be equipped with protective headgear.
This year as always we have a great selection of evening entertainment — the Fèis Programme which is available in all local retail outlets contains all the information you require!
Fèis Week 2009 was a great week for all of us followed by a range of successful winter classes. Thank you to all those who attended classes last year. We hope 2010 will be just as much fun and look forward to seeing you all.
